“Two members of the board of directors have family relationships with the organization's founder and current president, Tanya Pinto. These individuals were selected based on their unique skills and experience, which align with and support the mission and strategic vision of Baal Dan. To date, no board members have received any form of compensation for their service.”

“The organization does not currently have any committees with authority to act on behalf of the governing body. All organizational decisions are made by the full board of directors. If such committees are established in the future, the organization will ensure that all meetings and actions are contemporaneously documented in accordance with best governance practices.”

“A complete copy of Form 990, including all applicable schedules, was provided to all members of the board of directors in electronic format prior to filing. Board members were given an opportunity to review and provide comments or ask questions. Any feedback received was discussed and, if applicable, incorporated into the final version. This review process supports transparency and board oversight of the organization's regulatory filings.”

“The organization has a written conflict of interest policy that is reviewed and acknowledged by officers, directors, and key employees annually. Monitoring is conducted each year through written disclosures and verbal follow-up, as needed. All governing documents, including the conflict of interest policy, are available to the public upon request via email.”

“At present, the organization's CEO, Executive Director, and all other officers and key employees serve without compensation. Therefore, a formal compensation review process under Line 15 is not applicable at this time. Nonetheless, the board of directors periodically discusses this topic during regular meetings. If compensation is considered in the future, the organization will adopt and follow a formal process that includes review and approval by independent persons, comparability data, and documentation, in accordance with IRS guidelines.”

“The organization makes its governing documents, conflict of interest policy, and Form 990 available to the public upon request. Requests may be submitted via email, and documents are provided electronically in a timely manner.”

“The organization does not currently lease office space; all administrative work is done remotely. No salaries were paid, as all staff are volunteers. Travel and supply logistics are coordinated by board members and volunteer teams using personal resources. These efficiencies allow for nearly all contributions to directly benefit program recipients.”
