“Members of Speaking Up for Us shall be people with developmental disabilities who are actively involved in the organization. Only paid members shall have the right to vote at general Speaking Up for Us meetings and for representatives to the Board of Directors.”

“Election of Members and Their Rights Voting for members of the governing body will take place at the statewide or regional conference for the Speaking Up for Us region, and by absentee ballot. Voters must be paid members.”

“A draft of the Form 990 is provided to the Program Director before the tax return is finalized. The Program Director reviews the tax return and applicable schedules to ensure accurate reporting. Any changes if necessary are made, and the final return is filed with the appropriate taxing authority.”

“Compensation Process for Top Official The Board calls an executive session which is attended by a representative from Maine Developmental Disabilities Council (MDDC).
