“The organization successfully presented a series of five concerts, educational outreach, and community engagement events impacting over 3,500 people throughout the greater houston metropolitan area. Programs included both ticketed and free events which were hosted in-person and virtually allowing for broader audience access.”
“Aperio collaborated with the partnership for the advancement and immersion of refugees (pair) in the spring of 2024, presenting cellist leo eguchi to students at harmony high school in houston. As part of this educational outreach program eguchi worked with students on creative exercises in musical composition, expression, and performance students - regardless of their musical training, experience, or language proficiency - participated in activities encouraging experimentaion with musical notation and personal expression. Eguchi led performances of the student-created works with classmates in large groups. The activities encouraged personal expression, critical thinking skills, and general crativity, fostering meaningful connections between the artist, students, and teachers involved. Aperio plans to expand its work with pair by developing new educational outreach experiences and creating opportunities for general fundraising to benefit organizations.”
