OUR PARTNER ORGANIZATION, ESHOWE COMMUNITY ACTION GROUP (ECAG), MAKES GRANT REQUESTS FOR RECOMMENDED SCHOOL SITES. WE EVALUATE THE PROPOSAL BASED ON PRIORITIES TO SERVE THE GREATEST NEED AND THE GREATEST OPPORTUNITY FOR SUCCESS. WHEN A GRANT IS MADE, WE WIRE FUNDS TO ECAG'S BANK ACCOUNT. ECAG THEN CREATES A DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION PLAN, PROVIDING US WITH PERIODIC REPORTS AND PHOTOGRAPHIC DOCUMENTATION OF THE PROGRESS OF THE PROJECTS. UPON COMPLETION OF A PROJECT, ECAG PROVIDES US WITH PHOTOGRAPHS OF THE CLASSROOMS, LETTERS FROM THE TEACHERS AND STUDENTS BENEFITTING FROM THE CLASSROOMS, AND A FINAL REPORT OF THE PROJECTS. IN ADDITION, WE RECEIVE COPIES OF ECAG'S ANNUAL AUDITED FINANCIAL STATEMENTS. EVERY YEAR OR TWO. AS PART OF OUR CULTURAL EXCHANGE PROGRAM, WE VISIT AGAIN TO WITNESS FOR OURSELVES THE CLASSROOMS COMPLETED UNDER PREVIOUS GRANTS. WE KEEP COMPLETE AND ACCURATE RECORDS DOCUMENTING THE GRANT REQUESTS, AS WELL AS THE INTERIM AND FINAL REPORTS. ECAG IS CURRENTLY OUR ONLY GRANTEE. WE HAVE PROOF OF ITS STANDING AS A REGISTERED SOUTH AFRICAN CHARITABLE ORGANIZATION, AND WE COMMUNICATE REGULARLY WITH MEMBERS OF THE ESHOWE ROTARY CLUB, WHICH ORIGINATED THE PROGRAM, FOUNDED ECAG, AND STILL PROVIDES MUCH OF ITS VOLUNTEER DIRECTION AND FUNDRAISING.
