“Members have the right to elect the members of the governing body. Membership categories include: core members: organizations involved in the biotechnology, manufacturing, pharmaceutical research & development, drug discovery, medical device, agriculture, technology transfer, equipment and supply. Cost of membership is based on number of employees. Associate members: organizations providing consulting and business services to the bioscience industry. Cost of membership is based on number of employees. University members: any academic institution that works in support of biotechnology. Non-profit members: any government or non-profit entity with an interest in or mandate to promote biotechnology. Individual members: non-student membership is for individuals with no company affiliation; student membership is for individuals currently enrolled in college or graduate school with an interest in biotechnology.”
