“We are the only theater in fort worth that specializes in classical theater. There is no other place for actors, artisans, designers, and technicians to work on shakespeare and other classics performed and designed at our level of excellence. Our programming is incredibly unique. Additionally, we will host fort worths only teen shakespeare competition and shakespeare camp and give 7 full scholarships. Many students have used this opportunity to take their first steps on a real stage and hearing them interpret text that has been both timeless and relevant for over 400 years was inspirational. Our low price point also sets us apart from other theaters in fort worth because our programming is something that most individuals and families can afford. We have, quite possibly, the lowest theater ticket prices in the city of fort worth. This is intentional to keep classical theater accessible to anyone who wants to attend. We also offer discounts to student groups. Hundreds of students take advantage of this during our shakespeare festival and for any it is their first shakespeare production live in the theater also, we produce the most affordable musicals in town. This is the price of a single ticket at larger theaters and opens up the world of live theater to so many more citizens of fort worth. “Stolen shakespeare guild (ssg) had a highly successful 2024 season, producing seven stage productions at sanders theater. In addition to our performances, we hosted a holiday party, a season announcement event, and completed the second year of our education program. We remained committed to diversity in casting and met all programming goals, including our 2nd annual teen shakespeare competition and shakespeare summer camp, where six full scholarships were awarded. A key highlight this year was significant audience growth, with record-breaking attendance at our shakespeare and classic festivals. Thanks to effective programming, marketing, and community outreach, we successfully returned to prepandemic attendance levels. We also saw increased participation from students and families, benefiting from our focused community engagement efforts. Most importantly, 2024 marked a milestone for ssg as we secured the funding and a loan to purchase our own performance space, ensuring a bright future for our organization.”
