“The organization utilizes the services of an independent, certified public accounting firm to prepare the annual Federal Form 990. The firm prepares a draft of the return and forwards it to the Head of School and the internal accounting professional. An initial review takes place and any questions are addressed. The draft return is then distributed to the finance committee for their review process. The finance committee offers any changes or updates. If proposed updates are provided, the changes are made by the CPA firm and then the document is distributed to the Board for final review. After the review process is complete, the 990 is electronically filed.”

“On an annual basis, Community Partnership School clearly reminds the current Board of Trustees of their responsibility to disclose any potential conflicts of interest as described in the Board packet. The School directly asks each Board member if they are aware of any conflicts or potential conflicts. In addtion, the management explains to the Board that if any conflicts do arise during their service tenure, they are required to immediately notify the proper members of management.”
