The Annapolis Musicians Fund for Musicians, Inc. (AMFM) provides support to qualifying Annapolis-area musical arts education programs; funds qualifying musical education scholarships; provides temporary financial relief on an as-needed basis to qualified professional Annapolis-area musicians who lose work due to unforeseen events or are unable to work due to catastrophic events; provides financial support to a deceased musicians immediate family or a musician who has lost an immediate family member; and promotes the musical arts and artists in the Annapolis, Maryland area.
The Annapolis Musicians Fund for Musicians, Inc. (AMFM) provides support to Annapolis area based musical arts education programs and provides temporary financial relief to professional Annapolis area musicians. The financial relief is intended to ensure that a loss of work by a qualifying musician will not result in financial collapse. That safety net provides rare security for Annapolis area musicians, creating an opportunity for them to pursue musical artistry with a greater degree of assurance and equanimity, benefitting the musical arts community at large by benefiting the musicians themselves. AMFM also created a Catastrophic Fund, which provides financial assistance to Annapolis area musicians who have suffered a catastrophic loss or injury. Additionally, AMFM provides a summer grant for programs which further childrens musical education; these fund children in need, who cannot normally afford such programs. Additionally, $22,500 was granted to five (5) applicants for catastrophic benefits. Also during this period, $5,982 in private musical and vocal instruction benefits were paid for school age students from the Tim King Scholarship Fund.
