Mission and Program Overview
Mission
Students Today Leaders Forever's mission is revealing leadership through service relationships, and action. Our main program is called the Pay It Forward Tour, a multi-day, multi-city service and leadership roadtrip for college, high school, and middle school students. STLF also runs numerous Leadership Trainings throughout the year and Leadership Camps during the summer.

- Leadership CampThis intensive Leadership experience focuses on instilling in students tangible and transferable leadership skills, confidence, and meaningful relationships that will continue to build throughout their life. STLF's Leadership Camps are multi-day and engage students in service, teambuilding, personal growth, leadership, and life on a college campus. The STLF Summer Leadership Camp offered three tracks this year: one for students entering grades 6 - 8, one for students entering grades 9-12, and one for students between high school graduation and their first year of college. Each program is facilitated and directed by an experienced crew of volunteer college student leaders in STLF. Middle School camp took place in one location in Minnesota; the other camps took place in multiple locations and over multiple weeks - one in Minnesota and one in Wisconsin. In all, 184 students participated in Camp this year.

All STLF programs are organized and facilitated by experienced volunteer college student leaders. In order to ensure consistency, quality, sustainability, and safety, STLF organizes numerous experiences throughout the year: multiple one-day conferences, two multi-day retreats, pre-Tour Trainings, and frequent focused trainings. These trainings are offered in multiple geographic locations to increase access to student leaders. In addition, numerous online resources, training videos, detailed guidebooks, and personal staff support are offered. Over 500 students took part in these leadership trainings and held a high-responsibility leadership role in STLF during this year, and all trainings were offered at no charge to the student volunteers.

The Pay It Forward Tour is a leadership program that combines components of service, education, travel, teambuilding, leadership, and reflection on a cross-country Tour to serve communities. The Tour is offered as a nine-day program serving six communities for college students, as a five-day program serving four communities for high school students, and as a three-day program serving three communities for middle school students. Each Tour is led by thoroughly trained college student volunteer leaders and consists of 30-40 student participants. During this fiscal year, 90 Pay it Forward Tours took place - serving over 400 communities. 3,474 students participated on these Pay It Forward Tours. |
