Production of monsanto vs u.s. Farmers: a documentary film that will serve as an organizing tool in a grassroots distribution campaign to inform farmers, farmers unions, activists and legislators about monsanto corporation's campaign against farmers.the organization contends that for years, the monsanto has been destroying the livelihoods of thousands of farmers in their effort to control the seed supply for profit. It gradually bought out hundreds of seed companies, and patented seeds in an effort to force the farmer to buy seeds every year. It is now illegal for farmers to save and replant seed, a tradition that has endured for centuries in this country and for millennia around the world.monsanto is suing farmers who knowingly violate these patents; the organization further objects that they are also pursuing farmers who never planted gmo seed but whose crops were contaminated by neighboring farms, and still others whose gmo seed from a previous year's crop sprouts, or "volunteers" in fields planted with non-genetically modified varieties the following year.this documentary film features interviews with farmers and seed cleaners involved in lawsuits with monsanto, as well as interviews with relevant experts in a variety of areas.

We wish to thank all those who attended the exhibits and events we have held here - as well as the artists, filmmakers and writers who helped to make it possible. Nonesuch space was created to present high-quality arts programming, provide educational outreach, and to develop community audiences for the arts in oakland. Programming includes exhibitions, film screenings, events, classes and lectures.
