Mission

Crmc children's center is public benefit not-for-profit corporation and a subsidiary of cookeville regional medical center ("crmc"). The center's primary purpose and mission is to provide a quality early-childhood program at competitive prices to employees of crmc. Secondarily, crmc children's center recognizes the public's need for quality childcare and will offer a percentage of the open positions to the community. Crmc children's center will insure that top quality childcare is offered including developmentally appropriate curriculums, high nutritional standards, a sanitary environment, social and emotional enrichment and frequent parent communications.

To provide convenient, high quality childcare that will enhance the development of each child.

Each member has the right to one vote and has the same rights and obligations with respect to voting, dissolutions, redemption, transfer and all other matters as all other members.

Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 11

The 2013 form 990 and the related schedules are prepared by an unrelated, independent cpa firm and then submitted to the crmc children's center treasurer for internal review. An electronic copy of the form 990 is then provided to the governing body prior to filing.

Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 12C

Each member of the crmc children's center board of directors annually completes a conflict of interest disclosure. Additionally, board members are asked to recuse themselves on any matters of interest before the board in which a conflict of interest may exist. Any such recusal is documented within the minutes of the board.

An independent market survey is referenced in determining appropriate compensation for the crmc childern's center director. An evaluation is then performed by the crmc vice president of human resources.
