Mission and Program Overview

Mission

Pa connecting communities is an organization designed to provide services to and opportunities for mentally and physically disabled persons and elderly persons in allegheny county, pennsylvania. The organization's goal is to give these persons training, knowledge, and experiences they need to function at school, work, and in the general community, and to improve their quality of life. Pa connecting communities will accomplish this goal by providing educational classes, social and recreational opportunities, health and fitness classes and cultural opportunities. Many persons with special needs experience failure at school, work, or within the community because they have not acquired the basic life skills needed to be successful. Pa connecting communities' programs will lead to the development of life skills and self esteem which will enhance success at school, work, and within the community.
