Mission and Program Overview

Mission

Charitable foundation formed to benefit the residents of the city of fortuna, california both financially and educationally.the foundation will concentrate on several key areas:1) operation of residential facility (suzanne's house) for the use of redwood memorial hospital for their needy families and patients undergoing prolonged medical treatment at the hospital. This hospital is operated by the sisters of saint joseph of orange and is a nonprofit organization.2) funding the needs of fortuna's poor elderly, including restoring the meals on wheels and senior lunch programs which were eliminated due to state budget cuts.3) provide funding for pediatric health care and daycare, including a program to combine seniors and children in a daycare environment.4) funding the medical needs of the community, such as prenatal care, wellness clinics and immunization clinics.5) funding educational needs, such as book drives and reading promotions.
