ADEQUATE WATER SUPPLY IS ESSENTIAL TO LIFE AND THE ECONOMIC HEALTH AND DEVELOPMENT OF OUR COMMUNITIES. TO FULFILL THE ORGANIZATION MISSION: - TRI STATE HAS ENGAGED IN A SERIES OF STUDIES TO IDENTIFY VIABLE ADDITIONAL WATER SUPPLY AND SEEK ACCESS TO THAT SUPPLY TO MEET THE NEEDS OF OUR MEMBER COMMUNITIES. -TAKING ACTION TO FULFILL THE REQUIREMENTS FOR DEVELOPMENT OF THOSE SUPPLIES. -NOTABLY, RECEIVED COE/PENTAGON APPROVAL IN JANUARY 2025, FOR A REALLOCATION OF WATER STORAGE FROM STOCKTON LAKE TO MEET ABOUT 2/3 OF THE PROJECTED NEED OUT TO 2060. Tri-state water resource coalition (tri-state water) is a non-profit organization whose mission is to secure adequate, affordable long term water supply in southwest missouri.

Form 990EZ, Part III, Line 28 DESCRIPTION OF OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES

Adequate water supply is essential to life and the economic health and development of our communities. To fulfill the organization mission: - tri state has engaged in a series of studies to identify viable additional water supply and seek access to that supply to meet the needs of our member communities. -taking action to fulfill the requirements for development of those supplies. -notably, received coe/pentagon approval in january 2025, for a reallocation of water storage from stockton lake to meet about 2/3 of the projected need out to 2060. Strengthening the coalition: -early on, formed a joint municipal utility commission to implement the project. Education on water supply challenges and solutions: - developed and have given numerous comprehensive formal presentations to educate all stakeholders about water supply issues, and to facilitate the sharing of information about water issues. This includes federal and state legislators. - host an annual fall conference about water supply issues with missouri state university since 2008.

TO FULFILL THE ORGANIZATION MISSION: - TRI STATE HAS ENGAGED IN A SERIES OF STUDIES TO IDENTIFY VIABLE ADDITIONAL WATER SUPPLY AND SEEK ACCESS TO THAT SUPPLY TO MEET THE NEEDS OF OUR MEMBER COMMUNITIES. -TAKING ACTION TO FULFILL THE REQUIREMENTS FOR DEVELOPMENT OF THOSE SUPPLIES. -NOTABLY, RECEIVED COE/PENTAGON APPROVAL IN JANUARY 2025, FOR A REALLOCATION OF WATER STORAGE FROM STOCKTON LAKE TO MEET ABOUT 2/3 OF THE PROJECTED NEED OUT TO 2060. STRENGTHENING THE COALITION: -EARLY ON, FORMED A JOINT MUNICIPAL UTILITY COMMISSION TO IMPLEMENT THE PROJECT. EDUCATION ON WATER SUPPLY CHALLENGES AND SOLUTIONS: - DEVELOPED AND HAVE GIVEN NUMEROUS COMPREHENSIVE FORMAL PRESENTATIONS TO EDUCATE ALL STAKEHOLDERS ABOUT WATER SUPPLY ISSUES, AND TO FACILITATE THE SHARING OF INFORMATION ABOUT WATER ISSUES.
