“Upon completion of the 990, the Finance Director notifies the Audit & Finance Committee of the completion. If there are no objections, the Board is notified the 990 has been completed and has been verified by the Audit & Finance Committee. The Board is given a complete copy of the of the 990 by email and is encouraged to read with the "eyes" of the public and ask questions or comment.”

“The Organization requires Board members and Committee members to annually disclose any potential conflicts of interest. Should a matter come before the Board that relates to a Director's potential conflict, that Board Director must disclose that a conflict exists and recuse him/herself from any deliberations and/or decisions related to that issue. Board members are required to fill out the annual statements and are kept with the minutes.”

IRS990/Desc0OneAmerica organized and built power with immigrant communities through community base groups in 8 locations across Washington State, directly engaging hundreds of immigrants and reaching thousands of members through personal networks and email & social media.In 2014 we hosted numerous events in support of Comprehensive Immigration Reform, Administrative Relief, and the implementation of DACA, reaching hundreds of immigrant and refugee community members. Since the President's announcement in November 2014, our outreach on Administrative Relief has reached more than 1,000 potentially eligible individuals at events in Vancouver, Mount Vernon, Tacoma, Kent, Burien, White Center, Sunnyside, Walla Walla, Pasco, Royal City, Bellevue and others.The Washington New Americans Program served 1,956 clients with citizenship services in 2014, completing 930 N-400 applications for citizenship. There were 315 participants in our financial literacy classes. We helped thousands more with citizenship assistance through a network of organizations across Washington State.

Our leadership and collaborative work with many partner organizations, stakeholders, and immigrant community members led to the following victories in the past year. Dreamers and a broad coalition of partners persuaded a divided state legislature to pass the Washington State Dream Act, and it has helped hundreds of undocumented, aspiring young Americans afford college; after advocacy by OneAmerica's youth leaders and members, more than 2,000 undocumented students have applied for state need grants to attend college. Immigrants and faith leaders worked with King County to enact the nation's strongest policy upholding due process and limiting collaboration between federal immigration enforcement and local law enforcement agencies; Seattle voters adopted an initiative to increase funding for public transportation, the City of Seattle created an innovative ESL pilot program modeled after OneAmerica's English Innovations program, and King County created a new Office of Equity and Social Justice. Other highlights of our work include: Seattle's workers and refugee business owners, in coalition of unions and progressive businesses, succeeded in passing the highest minimum wage in the nation; Washington State adopted the 'Seal of Biliteracy' to recognize the achievements of immigrant and refugee students both in English and their home language, and made progress toward building new pathways to a more diverse, multi-lingual teaching workforce; Seattle voters adopted an initiative to increase funding for public transportation; the City of Seattle created an innovative ESL pilot program modeled after OneAmerica's English Innovations program, and King County created a new Office of Equity and Social Justice;
