Mohawk valley perinatal network, inc. Is a 501(c)3, not-for-profit organization that has been serving families in herkimer and oneida counties since 1996. The network was formed through collaborative efforts of dedicated professionals to improve the perinatal health of women throughout our region. We work with health and human service professionals and consumers to improve birth outcomes and maternal, child and family health, facilitate collaboration among providers and community organizations and advocate for change. Mvpn was incorporated in 2001.
Our mission is to improve birth outcomes and maternal, child and family health, facilitate collaboration among providers and community organizations and advocate for change. We accomplish this by assessing community needs, educating health and human service providers, updating perinatal data, educating and referring consumers, providing navigator services, encouraging healthy behaviors and increased use of health insurance programs. We are dedicated to improving birth outcomes for all women and their families, and particularly women facing difficult challenges.
