The organization has a committee to oversee the financial statement audit and the selection of the independent auditor. This process has not changed from prior year.

Financial Statement Notes

PART X, LINE 2:

The chapter is exempt from federal income tax under section 501(c)(3) of the internal revenue code. In addition, the chapter qualifies for charitable contribution deductions and has been classified as an organization other than a private foundation. Under accounting standards codification (asc) section 740, the tax status of tax-exempt entities is an uncertain tax position, since events could potentially occur that jeopardize tax-exempt status. Management of the chapter is not aware of any events that could jeopardize tax-exempt status. Therefore, no liability or provision for income tax has been reflected in the consolidated financial statements. Managment believes that the chapter is no longer subject to a review by the internal revenue service for years prior to 2010.
