“KidsCareEverywhere's mission is saving children's lives, by empowering physicians in under-resourced environments with multi-media, state of the art medical software, and through inspiration of young medical professionals to become future global health care leaders. With software donated to KCE, KidsCareEverywhere works with local health leaders to provide cost effective, sustainable and reproducible interventions. KCE's primary program is to distribute medical software and to train doctors and medical professionals in their use in clinical practice. KCE is a 501(c)(3) public charity dedicated to transforming pediatric care in under-resourced communities by enabling doctors and medical professionals to care for sick children more effectively and at lower cost. Further information can be found at our website at www.kidscareeverywhere.org. We do this by donating medical software called Dynamed, and training doctors and medical professionals in its use. This software supercedes PEMSoft and DynaMed Plus. This software is available primarily as a mobile application, resident on a smart phone. It is often installed on hospital servers, so that it is available to all hospital medical professionals, for daily use. Web based versions of DynaMed are also available, and often accessed to laptops and desktop computers. DynaMed is gifted to KCE by EBSCO Health, Ipswich, Ma. During the fiscal year 2019-2020, KCE volunteer teams visited 3 different countries and 8 hospitals. In addition, KCE embarked on a virtual training in Nepal, and distributed smart phone access to participants. In Peru, the KCE teams visited 4 hospitals and 2 medical colleges. The hospitals included Nacional Dos de Mayo, Nacional Cayetano, Nacional ArzoBispo Loayza, Instituto Nacional de salud de Nino, Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos, and the Collegio Medico - all in or near Lima. The two KCE teams included 2 board members(both physicians), 2 additional physicians, the assistant program director, and two volunteers. These two teams trained 468+ medical professionals, and provided DynaMed software access. In Ghana, the KCE team trained over 300 medical professionals at two hospitals: Korle Bu teaching Hospital (Accra) and the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (Kumasi). The KCE team consisted of 4 board members(2 were physicians), the associate director, the program director, and one volunteer. One KCE team visited two hospitals in the Amazon, in Brazil: Hospital Iquitos and Hospital Regional de Loretto - both in Iquitos. They trained and distributed DynaMed software to 47 medical professionals. The KCE team include a physician board member and a volunteer. KCE conducted a virtual (digital) training to 75 newly graduated medical students and resident trainees, and provided them with DynaMed.”
