The pmi upstate new york chapter will provide a forum to promote the principles of the pmi through networking with other project managers, sharing project experiences, providing and receiving training, and supporting project management leaders in their certification efforts.

MONTHLY MEETINGS ARE HELD SEPTEMBER THROUGH MAY. THERE IS A SPEAKER AT EACH MEETING. ATTENDEES HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO NETWORK WITH THEIR PEERS IN THE INDUSTRY. DURING THESE MEETINGS IDEAS ARE EXCHANGED, AND MEMBERS ARE INFORMED OF THE LATEST PROJECT MANAGEMENT TOOLS AND TECHNIQUES. THERE ARE CURRENTLY 700+ MEMBERS$0$0
THE CHAPTERS PROVIDES VARIOUS OPPORTUNITIES FOR PROFESSIONAL MANAGEMENT PROFESSIONALS (PMP) TO EARN PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT UNITS (PDU). AN ANNUAL PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT DAY IS HELD WHERE MEMBERS PARTICIPATE IN WORKSHOPS AND CAN EARN 7 PDU. ADDITIONALLY, PMP TEST PREP CLASSES OF APPROXIMATELY 30 PARTICIPANTS EACH ARE HELD TO PREPARE MEMBERS FOR CERTIFICATION TESTS. PDU ARE ALSO AVAILABLE FROM MONTHLY MEETINGS.$0$0
THE BOARD AND VARIOUS COMITTEES HOLD MEETINGS AND ATTEND TRAININGS OR SEMINARS THROUGHOUT THE YEAR TO ASSIST IN PLANNING AND KEEP ABREAST OF CURRENT TOOLS AND TECHNIQUES.
