Mission

The brinckerhoff elementary pta's mission, in common with those of the new york state pta and the national pta, is: a. To promote the welfare of children and youth in home, school, community, and place of worship. B. To raise the standards of home life. C. To secure adequate laws for the care and protection of children and youth. D. To bring into closer relation the home and the school, that parents and teacher may cooperate intelligently in the education of children and youth. E. To develop between educators and the general public such united efforts as will secure for all children and youth the highest advantages in physical, mental, social, and spiritual education.

FIFTH GRADE ACTIVITIES: SUPPLEMENT THE COST OF FIFTH GRADE T-SHIRTS, PINE GROVE RANCH FIELD TRIP, YEARBOOK SIGNING WITH PANCAKE BREAKFAST, FIELD DAY AND GRADUATION CELEBRATIONS FOR 108 FIFTH GRADE STUDENTS AT BRINCKERHOFF ELEMENTARY SCHOOL. THESE EVENTS ENCOMPASS 6 DAYS. THE OBJECTIVE OF THESE EVENTS IS TO ENCOURAGE CLASS BONDING, PROVIDE HISTORY AND ARTS EDUCATION AND TO CELEBRATE THE STUDENTS' YEARS AT THE SCHOOL.-$10,652
ARTS IN EDUCATION: TEN EDUCATIONAL ASSEMBLIES ENCOMPASSING 15 DAYS WERE PROVIDED FOR 533 STUDENTS IN GRADES KINDERGARTEN THROUGH FIFTH GRADE. THE ASSEMBLIES WERE PERFORMED IN BRINCKERHOFF ELEMENTARY SCHOOL'S CAFETERIA AND IN THE CLASSROOMS. THE ASSEMBLIES INTRODUCED STUDENTS TO ANTI-BULLYING, MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS AND MUSIC FROM AROUND THE WORLD, THE WORLD WE LIVE IN AND THE STARS SURROUNDING US, SCIENTIFIC PRINCIPLES, AND SELF-ESTEEM EDUCATION THROUGH PUPPETRY. THE OBJECTIVE OF THESES ASSEMBLIES IS TO EXPAND THE EDUCATIONAL BASE THAT BRINCKERHOFF ELEMENTARY SCHOOL PROVIDES IN THE CLASSROOMS.-$5,283

Fifth grade activities: supplement the cost of fifth grade t-shirts, pine grove ranch field trip, yearbook signing with pancake breakfast, field day and graduation celebrations for 108 fifth grade students at brinckerhoff elementary school. These events encompass 6 days. The objective of these events is to encourage class bonding, provide history and arts education and to celebrate the students' years at the school.

Arts in education: ten educational assemblies encompassing 15 days were provided for 533 students in grades kindergarten through fifth grade. The assemblies were performed in brinckerhoff elementary school's cafeteria and in the classrooms. The assemblies introduced students to anti-bullying, musical instruments and music from around the world, the world we live in and the stars surrounding us, scientific principles, and self-esteem education through puppetry. The objective of theses assemblies is to expand the educational base that brinckerhoff elementary school provides in the classrooms.

Family picnic: the family picnic is held in june for brinckerhoff students and families on the brinckerhoff playground. The event runs for 1 day and includes barbeque dinner, snacks, music and entertainment, and arts and crafts. Over 700 people attended the picnic. The objective of this picnic is to create and develop the brinckerhoff community.
