Activity 2

Research Management: The planning, administration and monitoring of the research programs sponsored by the Foundation are the primary responsibilities of the research managers. Specific tasks include administration of the Foundation's Focus Area Council and Technical Advisory Committees for each focus area; research planning, contractor monitoring and oversight; research report review; requests for proposal preparation; Project Advisory Committee selection and administration and proposal review and selection. Research Management serves as the Foundation's primary link with the water research community and coordinates all joint/cooperative programs.

Activity 3

Subscriber Services: The administration of the Foundation's major funding effort, The Research Subscription program, is coordinated by Subscriber Services staff. Activities include planning and implementation of the promotional strategy, internal and external coordination, subscriber communication and recruiting. Senior Account Managers are responsible for providing personalized service to the largest 150 subscribers. Major activities include annual visits/briefings, serving as primary contact, promoting greater involvement in Foundation programs and ensuring subscribers' needs are expeditiously met. The development of research partnerships with other organizations is also managed by Subscriber Services, as well as the Tailored Collaboration program. The portion of these activities involved with soliciting contributions from subscribers has been segregated and included as fundraising on the Statements of Activities.
