Mission and Program Overview

Mission

Gbchealth is a not-for-profit corporation whose mission is to leverage the power and resources of the business community for positive impact on global health challenges.

Major Activities

Activity 2
Online workspace, publications & communications resources:gbchealth's online workspace, printed materials and electronic media, including e-learning modules, are vital resources for memeber companies. The data and testimonials establish basic context for the business role in changing the course of global health challenges. The information supports members in their efforts to understand and implement best practices through a deep cross-section of reference materials, including workplace policy frameworks, case studies of company programs, implementation guides, and articles and papers on a diverse range of subjects, from roundtable reports to policy issues. In 2012, gbchealth delivered three newsletters every month that kept businesses on top of health trends and key insights. "news & opportunities" kept companies informed of timely news and the important work underway within our network. In addition, gbchealth launched the "case study of the month", which honed in on specific company programs to help members learn from their peers' experiences, and also, "insights", an exploration of a topic anchored in thought leadership. Through these channels, leading voices from institutions like the bill & melinda gates foundation, ncd alliance, the stop tb partnership, were also able to reach the business community with expert perspectives on health issues that matter most. Our products provide clear guidance for company action. We raise visibility through our newsletters, magazine, website, and special communications.
