“Education and training for stage lighting & set design technical skills. Professional designers interview 4 to 8 candidates. Interviews are held in ny city in late march or early april. Applicants submit a resume, 3 letters of recommendation, an essay stating professional goals and anticipated benefits from participating in the program. One candidate receives the award annually.”

“The internship hosts an annual two-day portfolio review for young aspiring lighting designers at which they can present their portfolio and have it reviewed by professional designers, directors, and production managers. In addition, there is a showing of portfolios open to the public and a series of educational seminars are offered during the two days. The review presents approximately 30 student designers annually and the work is reviewed and/or seen by approximately 150 people at each review.”
