Statement of Revenue Part VIII

The $20,000 reported on line 1F is money contributed by a non-member of the organization with an interest in the medallion taxi industry to defray the costs of the consulting firm which was hired to investigate the business practices of UBER and attempt to see additional regulatory oversight of UBER.

Significant program services not listed on prior year return Part III line 2

In 2014, the organization undetook a project to level the playing field for licensed medallion taxis with UBER vehicles. The organization hird a consulting firm to investigate UBER's business practrcesin New york and Chicago to determine the scope of regulation of UBER's business practices and if there were public safety concerns. Part of the consultant's role was to publize their findings to both the public and to regulatory authorities.

In 2014, the organization ceased 2 projects that had been in effect in 2013. The first was a legal and political effort to have the HAIL Act, which provided for outer-boro street hail priviliges for Green Cabs' either repealed by the New york State legislature of overturned by the courts.The second was to employ an economic consulting firm to provied a model to determine the value of taxi medallios. a report was received from this firm in 2013 and the organization did not see a need to have the report updated.
