Life Frames Inc.

Life Frames, Inc. is the non-profit sponsor of A Living Library, or A.L.L., for short. A Living Library provides a powerful systemic framework, series of strategies, and methodologies for planning, designing, implementing, and maintaining, place-based greening in diverse communities and schools integrated with hands-on, interdisciplinary, standards-based curricula (PreK-16-and beyond) during the school day, after school, and summers. Young people with caring adults create a more ecological environment in their school-yard, neighborhood, and community, while learning multiple subjects and having real-world experience. A goal is to link Branch Living Library & Think Parks locally and globally through communications technologies so people in diverse communities can share commonalities and diversities of their cultures and ecologies.

LFI offers practical processes and imaginative solutions resulting in ecological land use planning, landscape architecture, participatory design with multiple, systemically linked, interactive, community and school programs, which also function as community and economic development for the area, resulting in transformation of the community.
