Financial Statement Notes

PART X, LINE 2:

“Under asc 740, the entity recognizes the financial statement effects of a tax position when it is more likely than not, based on the technical merits, that some level of tax benefit related to the position will be sustained upon examination if the taxpayer takes the dispute to the court of last resort. While the tax law and widely understood administrative practices of the tax authority are taken into account in assessing the recognition threshold, the possibility of negotiation with the tax authority is not considered.”
