“Westhab in Yonkers, in conjunction with Westhab, Inc. a non-profit affiliate, completed and place in service two projects adding 87 units of service. BAY House, 157-161 Bruce Avenue opened in June 2017 a 16 bed young adult supported housing residence. In December 2017 a 71 unit HUD 202 senior housing building, located at 7 Ludlow Street opened. 227 Elm Street, a vacant and undeveloped lot, was acquired in June 2017 and planning has commenced to develop a 63 unit affordable and supportive multifamily development. Funding sources include NYS HCR, NYS HHAP, NYS ESSHI and foundation pre-development awards. This development, along with the adjacent Dayspring Community Center, is expected to bring much needed investment and improvement to an extremely distressed neighborhood.”
