The following three Board members reviewed and approved the materials included in the 990 before it was filed. They are Dr. Mortimer Lacher, Martin Zausner and William Zabel.

Form 990, Part VI, Line 12C: Explanation of Monitoring and Enforcement of Conflicts

Board members, directors, committee members, key employees have always recognized that any possible conflict of interest had to be avoided and had to be announced and reported to the administrative director at any time during the year whenever the possible conflict occurred. The administrative director would then report it to the board at the next quarterly board meeting for determination of its merit and the appropriate action to resolve the matter.

IRS990ScheduleI/SupplementalInformationDetail/ExplanationTxt0Annual grants are awarded to cancer centers in the United States (e.g. Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, Duke University Cancer Center, Weill Cornell Cancer Center). The Foundation requests that the funds be designated for use within a cost center of each designated cancer institution to support the work of an established individual researcher or research team or post-doc Fellow (working under the guidance of an established researcher). The Lymphoma Foundation grants support basic laboratory, clinical patient research studies and educational activities related to the causes and possible cures of cancer primarily related to but not restricted to hematologic cancers. Each year, reports are requested and received by the Lymphoma Foundation outlining and summarizing the activities accomplished with the aid of the Lymphoma Foundation grants. The responses by the researchers benefitting from these grants are reviewed that confirms the appropriate use of the Lymphoma Foundation grants.
