Financial Statement Notes

PART X, LINE 2:

Cee is exempt from federal income tax under the provisions of section 501(c)(3) of the internal revenue code; therefore, no provision for income taxes is included in cee's financial statements. Cee has no unrecognized tax benefits at december 31, 2023 and 2022. Cee's federal and state informational returns prior to fiscal year 2020 are closed and management continually evaluates expiring statutes of limitations, audits, proposed settlements, changes in tax law and new authoritative rulings. If applicable, cee will recognize interest and penalties associated with tax matters as part of the income tax provision and include accrued interest and penalties with the related tax liability in the statements of financial position. There were no interest or penalties paid for the years ended december 31, 2023 and 2022. Management has analyzed the tax positions taken by cee and has concluded that, as of december 31, 2023 and 2022, there are no uncertain tax positions taken or expected to be taken that would require recognition of a liability (or asset) or disclosure in the financial statements.
