The form 990 is distributed first to the president, co-chairmen, and honorary chairman for careful review, and then to the rest of the board. Board members are encouraged to review the 990 on their own, and forward any questions to the officers or ceo. Inquiries are invited at the annual board meetings as well.

At the beginning of each fiscal year, boys town directors discuss any potential conflicts-of-interest. If a conflict is identified, the chairman will discuss the conflict with the appropriate parties and those parties will be recused from voting on the matter that they have a conflict on.
