Ddi foundation, inc. Is organized and operated exclusively for charitable, scientific and educational purposes. Its specific purpose is to promote and support the activities of developmental disabilities institute, inc. (a related 501(c)(3) organization).

To solicit contributions, grants & other donations to assist ddi, inc. In meeting its program & capital needs for services it provides individuals with developmental disabilities.

“The executive director and senior finance executives review form 990 with the finance and audit committee. The finance committee subsequently reviews the contents of form 990 with the board of directors members which are provided a copy of the report before being filed with irs.”

FORM 990, PART IX, LINE 24A:

“Included in the $97,750 of capital campaign expenses are $69,798 of funds released from temporarily restricted net assets and transferred to developmental disabilities institute, inc. To cover the capital expenses for which the revenue was raised. During 2017, the capital campaign had $9,002 of operating expenses and $18,950 of bad debt expense.”

Financial Statement Notes

PART X, LINE 2:

“Under ASC 740, an organization must recognize the tax benefit associated with tax positions taken for tax return purposes when it is more likely than not that the position will be sustained. DDI Foundation, Inc. does not believe there are any material uncertain tax positions and, accordingly, it will not recognize any liability for unrecognized tax benefits. The organization has filed for and received income tax exemptions in the jurisdictions where it is required to do so. Additionally, the organization has filed Internal Revenue Service Form 990 tax returns, as required, and all other applicable returns in jurisdictions when it is required. For the year ended December 31, 2017, there was no interest or penalties recorded or included in the combined statement of activities.”
