Mission and Program Overview

Mission

The mission of the foundation is to encourage the inclusion of deaf people in all facets of society: religion, educational, social and vocational. Among its priorities is accessibility to quality educational programs, the evangelism of deaf people by trained christian clergy, and the publication/production of specialized materials for use with deaf persons in religious and educational settings.

The mill neck foundation was formed to gather resources to support a variety of ministries in the u.s. And worldwide, which serve deaf and hard of hearing people, including mill neck manor school for the deaf, mill neck services inc., and lutheran friends of the deaf.

PART X, LINE 2:

The foundation is a non-profit corporation exempt from income tax under section 501(c)(3) of the internal revenue code. In addition, the foundation has been classified as an entity that is not a private foundation within the meaning of section 509(a) and qualifies for deductible contributions as provided in section 170(b)(i)(a)(vi). Accordingly, no provision has been made for income taxes in the financial statements. The foundation evaluated its activities for uncertain tax positions and has determined that there were no uncertain tax positions for 2022 and 2021.
