Mary's hall, inc. Has an internal compliance officer. This person is also the in-house general counsel. Each director, principal officer and member of a committee with board delegated powers annually signs a statement that affirms that such person (1) has received a copy of the organizations's conflict of interest policy, (2) has read and understands the policy, (3) has agreed to comply with the policy and (4) understands that the organization is a charitable organization and that in order to maintain its federal tax exemption it must engage primarily in activities which accomplish one or more of its tax-exempt activities. If there is an actual or preceived conflict of interest, affected individuals must recuse themselves from any discussion or deliberating process.

Mary's hall has determined that there are no material uncertain tax positions that require recognition or disclosure in the financial statements. Periods ending june 30, 2015 and subsequent remain subject to examination by applicable taxing authorities. If the organization is selected for examination, the internal revenue service can add an additional three-year period to the examination; therefore, periods ending june 30, 2012 and subsequent remain subject to examination by applicable taxing authorities. If applicable, mary's hall recognizes interest and penalties associated with tax matters as operating expenses and includes accrued interest and penalties with accrued expenses in the statement of financial position.
