Mission and Program Overview

Mission

Education and Hope aims to increase access to education among impoverished children and young adults in Quetzaltenango, Guatemala by providing them with monthly scholarships to attend local public and private schools, and a comprehensive after-school tutoring program.

Education and hope was founded on the belief that education is a fundamental human right, and that all the world's children deserve the chance to be educated. We believe that education is the most effective means to truly break the cycle of poverty. A promise is made to each child welcomed into the scholarship program that we will provide assistance to them for as long as they wish to continue their studies, the only condition being their commitment to study.
