Most of our vendors are contracted through our management companies and while our board oversees the management of our relationship with the management companies they are not in any way involved in the bidding process or vendor selection. Additionally, board members are required to disclose any potential conflict of interest or relationship with vendors that sheldon oak central contracts with directly and staff selects vendors based on specific objective procurement criteria. Because our board, staff and list of vendors are very limited in number, requiring disclosure of relationships and annual reviews of vendor contracts is sufficient to prevent conflict of interest.
