APPROXIMATELY 11 CHILDREN WERE IN THIS PROGRAM AT THE END OF THE FISCAL YEAR. THE STATE OF CONNECTICUT PROVIDED APPROXIMATELY $8.4 MILLION IN FUNDING FOR THESE PROGRAMS. THE ADULT PROGRAM WAS INITIATED IN 1985 AND THE PROGRAM FOR CHILDREN WAS INTRODUCED IN 2001. THESE PROGRAMS ALLOW INDIVIDUALS WITH DISABILITIES "TO LIVE IN THE COMMUNITY" WITH THE ASSISTANCE OF A DEDICATED RESIDENTIAL SERVICES STAFF AND SUPPORT SERVICES. CHILDREN IN RESIDENTIAL SERVICES RECEIVE EDUCATION AND THERAPEUTIC SERVICES FIVE DAYS A WEEK. |
