Additional Explanations

FORM 990, PART XII, LINE 2C:

The organization did not change its audit oversight process or selection of an independent auditor process during the tax year.

Financial Statement Notes

PART V, LINE 4:

A fund with donor restrictions has been established to support the herbert pardes clinical research excellence award. Per the donor's instructions, the contributed funds and related earnings thereon are required to be segregated in a separate investment account to pay a $7,500 annual award. However, in the event the invested funds do not generate sufficient income in a given year, the organization is authorized to expend additional funds from the related investments to make the award.

PART X, LINE 2:

The organization believes that it has appropriate support for any tax positions taken, and as such, does not have any uncertain tax positions that are material to the consolidated financial statements or that would have an effect on its tax-exempt status. There are no unrecognized tax benefits or liabilities that need to be recorded.
