Live baltimores mission is to recruit and retain baltimore city residents.

Live baltimore is a nationally recognized, independent nonprofit organization committed to promoting the benefits of baltimore city living. Each year, live baltimore provides thousands of individuals with information on the city's 250+ neighborhoods,rental living options, homebuying incentive programs, historic tax credits and more.

Pt VI, Line 1A

The executive committee consists of the directors serving as the president, vice president, secretary, treasurer, immediate past-president and up to three other directors proposed by the board development committee and approved by the board. The committee has the power to transact all regular business of the board during the periods between board meetings, unless authority to transact any business shall have been expressly retained by the board or may not by law be delegated to the exec. Committee.

Live baltimore presents form 990 to the executive committee for review, then to the board of directors for approval.

The conflict of interest policy is distributed to all new board members and reviewed at orientation. The board pres. Reviews all board policies at the first board meeting of the calendar year. The live baltimore staff is also advised of the policy. All new contracts and business agreements are reviewed for conflicts of interest before being signed. Conflict of interest policy applies to all board members and directors of the organization. The board determines if there is a conflict and if a conflict arises those members are to abstain from discussing or voting on that particular issue.

The organization has adopted FASB ASC 740, Income Taxes, which clarifies the accounting for uncertainty in income taxes. The organization recognizes the tax benefit from uncertain tax positions only if it is more likely than not the tax position will be sustained on examination by the taxing authorities, based on the technical merits of the position. Based on its evaluation, the organizaton has concluded that there are no significant uncertain tax positions requiring recognition in the financial statements. No interest or penalties have been recorded as a result of the tax uncertainties. The tax years ended June 30, 2017 through June 30, 2020 remain open to examination by tax jurisdictions to which the organization is subject.
