THE FOUNDATION IS A NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION RESPONSIBLE FOR THE ENTIRE PRODUCTION AND ORGANIZATION OF THE ANNUAL FOURTH OF JULY CELEBRATION ON BOSTON'S ESPLANADE. THE FOUNDATION'S MISSION IS TO PRODUCE FREE PUBLIC EVENTS IN BOSTON. IN ADDITION, THE FOUNDATION ALSO PRODUCED A NEW YEAR'S EVE FAMILY FIREWORKS SHOW ON THE BOSTON COMMON. FINANCIAL SUPPORT FOR THE FOUNDATION IS RECEIVED PRIMARILY IN THE FORM OF SPONSORSHIPS, GIFTS, GRANTS, CONTRIBUTIONS AND BEQUESTS FROM INDIVIDUALS AND PRIVATE FOUNDATIONS.
