THE SCHOLARSHIP APPLICANTS ARE RANKED BY A SUBCOMMITTEE OF 3 FPDTA BOARD MEMBERS AND THEN SENT TO THE SCHOLARSHIP SELECTION COMMITTEE WHICH IS MADE UP FROM 1 BOARD MEMBER AND 4 OUTSIDE PROFESSIONAL MEMBERS FROM LOCAL BUSINESSES AND ORGANIZATIONS. THE COMMITTEE MAKES THE ACTUAL SELECTIONS TO WHOM RECEIVES THE SCHOLARSHIPS, BASED ON THE APPLICATIONS AND ESSAYS SUBMITTED. THE SCHOLARSHIPS ARE AWARDED IN 2 PAYMENTS OF $2,000, ONE PER SEMESTER. YOU MUST MAINTAIN A GPA OF 2.8 TO CONTINUE TO RECEIVE THE SCHOLARSHIP AND GRADES ARE COLLECTED BY THE COMMITTEE CHAIR AT THE END OF EVERY SEMESTER TO CONFIRM ELIGIBILITY PRIOR TO THE NEXT PAYMENT BEING ISSUED.
