To build a structurally sound and musically vital ensemble which seeks to explore and present music of the 20th century. All schools, movements and styles from the turn of the century to the present day will be offered. It is the practical aim of the boston modern orchestra project, inc. (bmop) to promote and support the performances of new compostions, unknown works, newly published editions, and seldom repeated works from the start of the 1900's. Bmop hopes to challenge, entertain, and educate its audiences by presenting a variety of concerts, lectures and activities comprised of music and related subjects from the 20th century.
