Transition house is a human services agency dedicated to preventing and ending domestic violence. The agency provides a continuum of housing resources and holistic support for survivors of violence and their children, as well as prevention education and partnership-building to expand awareness and the resources necessary to create a safer, healthier community.

TRANSITION HOUSE SUPPORTS YOUTH DEVELOPMENT AND LEADERSHIP INITIATIVES TO PROMOTE HEALTHY RELATIONSHIP DEVELOPMENT AND PREVENT ABUSE. TRANSITION HOUSE PROVIDES DIRECT SUPPORT TO OVER 500 PEOPLE; TRAINS MORE THAN 400 PROFESSIONALS; AND REACHES 1500 COMMUNITY MEMBERS OF ALL AGES WITH OUTREACH AND EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS EACH YEAR.

OTHER SERVICES INCLUDE HOUSING ADVOCACY, LEGAL ADVOCACY, COURT ACCOMPANIMENT, SUPPORT GROUPS, PUBLIC BENEFITS ADVOCACY AND REFERRALS TO A WIDE RANGE OF RESOURCES. WE ALSO DELIVER CUSTOM TRAINING ON DOMESTIC VIOLENCE INTERVENTION AND RESPONSE TO PROFESSIONALS IN LAW ENFORCEMENT, SOCIAL SERVICES, EDUCATION, ELDER SERVICES AND PROPERTY MANAGEMENT. IN FY19, THIS PROGRAM PROVIDED DIRECT SERVICES TO OVER 160 PEOPLE; TRAINING FOR 430 PEOPLE.
