Bostix: bostix is artsboston's discount ticketing program, offering half-price tickets on the day-of-show at the two booths at fanueil hall and copley square, and in advance online at bostix.org. Bostix not only makes the arts more affordable for consumers, but generates critically needed revenues for artsboston's 170 performing arts member groups. Bostix helps approximately 100,000 people each year enjoy the arts for less, while generating between $2 and $2.5 million in revenues that are returned directly to arts organizations.

Activity 3

Market research and other member services: artsboston provides market knowledge, capacity-building, and cost-saving services to its 170 performing arts member groups with a goal of giving arts groups tools to more effectively and efficiently invest limited marketing dollars. The artsboston audience initiative is boston's first major arts market research project, and will provide actionable data and technical assistance that will help local arts organizations sharpen their marketing messaging while informing community-wide audience development efforts. Other services available to artsboston members include subsidized advertising through artsboston platforms online, in print, and at the booths; cooperative advertising in print and online versions of the boston globe and other local media outlets; and dynamic collaborative promotional programs like the annual mayor's holiday special and other partners.
