THESE EXPERIENCES ARE AIMED TO BUILD SELF-CONFIDENCE, CREATE A SENSE OF BELONGING AND COMMUNITY, AND ENHANCE SOCIAL SKILLS. THRIVE'S YOUTH EXPERIENCES INCLUDE SOCIAL ACTIVITIES, SOCIAL GROUPS, SPECIAL EVENTS, AND SPORTS/RECREATION ACTIVITIES. THE CORNERSTONE OF THE THRIVE'S YOUTH PROGRAMS IS TASC (THRIVE AFTER SCHOOL COMMUNITY). TASC ENGAGES CHILDREN SOCIALLY, PHYSICALLY, AND PSYCHOLOGICALLY IN A DYNAMIC SETTING WITH VARYING ACTIVITIES GEARED TO PARTICIPANT'S INTERESTS. OTHER YOUTH EXPERIENCES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO, SKILL-BUILDING FIELD TRIPS, GENDER OR INTEREST-SPECIFIC SOCIAL GROUPS, SPORTS TEAMS, AND CREATIVE PURSUITS SUCH AS POTTERY PAINTING OR DANCE NIGHTS.THRIVE ALSO OFFERS LEARNING AND EDUCATIONAL EXPERIENCES FOR YOUTH.
