The CEO salary range was established by the board prior to filling the position. The range was based on a review of salaries of similar regional nonprofit housing organizations in the Mass Regional Housing Network.

A salary study was performed by a board subcommittee and the HR administrator to establish salary ranges. The study used available National data adjusted for location and data collected from the other Regional Non Profits.

IRS990/ProgSrvcAccomActy3Grp/Desc0Good Samaritan - Berkshire Housings staff operates the Good Samaritan Homeownership Program which is a CHAPA-certified homebuyer counseling program. Staff conduct quarterly homeownership education classes for prospective first-time homebuyers of lower and moderate incomes and ongoing one to one pre-purchase and post purchase counseling on an as needed basis. The classes are held in Pittsfield, Williamstown and other Berkshire communities. BHDC also services an existing portfolio of down payment assistance mortgages and HUD HOME funded second mortgages given to low and moderate income first time homebuyers.
