Scott lustgarten and daniel polett are related through a business relationship. They are partial owners of a business together (wilkie lexus & lexus of chester springs).

Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 11

Once the 990 is completed by the tax preparers, it is shared, reviewed, and discussed by the executive director and the director of operations. Once they have approved it and with their recommendation, it is sent to the board for comment. If no comments are received by the board, it will be considered approved for submission.

Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 12C

Directors and trustees are required to complete an annual statement of disclosure at the spring board meeting every year. The director of operations reviews these statements for any potential conflict, and follows up accordingly.

Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 15

The foundation does not employ personnel. Therefore, the board does not determine salaries.

Form 990, Part VI, Section C, Line 19

Forms 990 and 1023 and financial statements are available per link to guidestar.org on organization's website. Other documents such as governing documents, conflict of interest and financial statements are available upon request.

Financial Statement Notes

PART X, LINE 2:

The internal revenue service ("irs") has classified the foundation as exempt from federal income taxes under section 501(c)(3) of the internal revenue code ("code"). Accounting for uncertainty in income taxes clarifies the accounting for uncertainty in income taxes recognized in an enterprise's financial statements. Management has analyzed the tax positions taken by the foundation, and has concluded that as of june 30, 2015 and 2014, there are no uncertain tax positions taken or expected to be taken that would require recognition of a liability or disclosure in the financial statements. The foundation recognizes accrued interest and penalties associated with uncertain tax positions, if any. There was no income tax related interest or penalties recorded for the years ended june 30, 2015 and 2014. The income tax returns of the foundation for the years ended june 30, 2012, 2013 and 2014 are subject to examination by the irs and other taxing authorities, generally for three years after they were filed.
