“Form 990-EZ, Part II, Line 24 - Some expedition kits used on the ocean and land phases are included in this sum. Ocean rowboat, its parts, cameras, tracking units, satellite communication equipment fell into this category, not all was included. A depreciation schedule was lacking while the equipment aged or became obsolete which then had to be discarded and replaced, some over a decade ago. Original cost of the discarded kit in our books was $12,519 Form 990-EZ, Part II, Line 26 - Six Summits Project and other human powered endeavors carried out by Erden Eruc required funding from his family funds. These endeavors are the source of stories and lessons shared with classrooms, sometimes delivered by costly satellite communications while on expedition. We anticipate these to be reimbursed by sponsorships and speaking engagements in the future.
