“In fiscal year 2014 the organization adopted an updated mission and purpose statement. The organization also amended their bylaws to remove all language regarding committees and to add language creating an executive board and task force(s). The executive board is empowered to act on corporate business of the board without further review. The executive committee has the authority to establish tax force(s) to pursue specific research and/or projects. A youth council was also established to provide input for the procurement of the youth service provider and provide an annual report of youth service provision to the executive committee.”

This includes avoiding potential and actual conflicts of interest, as well as perceptions of conflicts of interest. Upon or before appointment, each board member and director will make a full, written disclosure of interests, relationships, and holdings that could potentially result in a conflict of interest. This written disclosure will be kept on file and updated as appropriate. Annually members update their signature declaring they have read the policy and prior to each meeting each member answers if they have any conflicts with the consent agenda. Any individual with an actual or perceived conflict of interest is recused from discussion and voting on the matter to which the conflict relates.”

“Compensation is analyzed for reasonableness by alliance for strategic growth, inc. Using a wage study that was performed by the organization in may 2012. This wage study was based on questionnaires submitted from the different indiana regions. This information was given to the board to review and action by the board was taken.”
