The exempt purposes are as follows: a. To benefit the public interest by providing top quality martial arts instruction to large numbers of children at substantially below market price, in underprivileged as well as middle-class areas. B. To combat community deterioration and various forms of juvenile delinquency and drug use by helping the children develop strength of character, a healthy sense of achievement, and a positive value system which serve as deterrents to negative activities, negative influences, and negative peer pressue by helping the children feel and build self-esteem, self-confidence and self-discipline. C. To diminish prejudice and discrimination by providing an environment of courtesy, sportsmanship, and mutual respect in ethnically diverse and co-educational classes. The annual kids' karate exhibition provides an opportunity for children from different communities to interact and perform together. D. To allow the children to continue in the program.
