Supplemental Narrative

Additional Explanations

FORM 990, PART XI, LINE 9:

Post retirement health benefit obligation change -32,942.

Financial Statement Notes

PART V, LINE 4:

To provide a predictable stream of funding for the programs supported by the endowment while seeking to maintain the purchasing power of the endowment assets.

PART X, LINE 2:

The school is exempt from federal income taxes under section 501(c)(3) of the u.s. Internal revenue code, except with regard to unrelated business income, which is taxed at corporate income tax rates. Accounting standards codification subtopic 740-10, accounting for uncertainty in income taxes, addresses the accounting uncertainty of income taxes recognized in an enterprise's financial statements and prescribes a threshold of "more-likely-than-not" for recognition and derecognition of tax positions taken or expected to be taken in a tax return. Subtopic 740-10 also provides guidance on measurement classification, interest and penalties and disclosure. The school has determined that the provisions of subtopic 740-10 do not have a material effect on the school's financial statements. The school believes it is no longer subject to examinations for years prior to 2011
